If you've stumbled upon this site you probably already know what an Android emulator is and why you might need an Android emulator for your PC. However, for those of you that don't I'm happy to explain it to you.

An Android Emulator is a piece of software that runs on your PC that essentially "tricks" part of your operating system into thinking it's running on the Android operating system. Normally, if you have a relatively recent PC, when you boot up your computer you're booting into the Windows 7 operating system. An Android Emulator running on your PC tricks your PC into thinking it's running two operating systems... An Android operating system inside of a Windows operating system... Think of it as an employee you've hired to work for another person you currently employ.

Once you have an Android emulator installed on your PC you can run any Android app on your PC. This means apps like Angry Birds, Skype for Android, Tango, or Kik Messenger that are normally only available on the Android operating system are able to run from any PC anywhere in the world! Which brings me to another point... Why install an Android emulator for your PC?
